All new buildings at K2 will be built to uncompromising standards using the best available materials and most suitable construction techniques. This will ensure EPC A as a minimum standard across the site. All buildings will come with 10 year warranties, which will help to keep the life cycle costs as low as possible.

The agreement will ensure there is ample power for all who need it on the site while ensure fair, predictable pricing for occupiers

SUSTAINABLE IN CONSTRUCTION AND OPERATION

We know there is more to a carbon neutral building than solar panels. Issues like water neutrality, biodiversity and embedded carbon all play a role in determining how sustainable an operation really is.

So, if you want features like rainwater harvesting, water conserving sanitary ware, LED lighting with daylight sensors, glazing with high thermal performance; whatever it is that matters to you – we will provide it.

During construction, we will meet any requirement you may have for use of renewable or locally sourced materials. Doing so reduces a building’s embedded carbon footprint and help the local economy.

We are also targeting at least 90% of construction waste being diverted from landfill.

WE CAN DELIVER BREEAM EXCELLENT EPC A+ BUILDINGS ON REQUEST

New buildings will be designed to suit your BREEAM preferences at K2. So, if you do want BREEAM Excellent, we can deliver it.

The target for all new buildings at K2 is EPC A. But, with use of the on site solar, or a roof mounted solar array, we can achieve EPC A+ and Net Zero Carbon in operation.
